Delay to Health and Social Care Act – Update from Forum Central

Health & Care Bill  – As you may know, implementation of the Health and Social Care Act has been delayed from 1 April 2022 for three months until 1 July 2022.

Forum Central is working through the implications of this with CCG and LCC colleagues, particularly with regard to contracts and re-commissioning, and the lead time it typically takes to complete.

Forum Central do not anticipate any significant concerns as the system moves towards more collaborative commissioning, but some Forum Central members have asked about third sector contract renewal; colleagues and service continuity, contract funding and the risk of losing staff who leave for new roles.

Forum Central want to provide information on any contracts that may be causing concern.
