Essential Care Givers
In December, the national care home visiting guidance changed to say that all people living in care homes could have three named visitors plus one ‘essential care giver’ to visit them. An ‘essential care giver’ is basically one family member or friend who can continue to visit their loved one during Covid outbreaks, providing they agree to be tested regularly and follow safe procedures.
Healthwatch Leeds along with partners have produced a poster to raise awareness about this role. Please help us by sharing the poster with people who use your services. Hard copies can be supplied on request.
