Digital - My Arm Pain Programme

Are you living with a painful condition of the arm?

Would you like to help shape research and improve the support available for these conditions?

We want to hear from you!

The Digital – My Arm Pain Programme (D-MAPP) is an exciting project led by a team of researchers at the University of Leeds, Keele University, the University of Southampton and the University of Aberdeen. Together, they are aiming to develop a website to support people living with painful arm conditions, anywhere from the elbow to the fingertips. This includes conditions such as osteoarthritis of the hand & thumb, carpal tunnel syndrome, golfer’s and tennis elbow, tendinitis, trigger finger and non-specific arm pain (previously known as ‘repetitive strain injury’).

The D-MAPP website will feature a range of support to guide people in managing their condition, such as a tailored exercise programme, specific information and self-management advice.

Funded by the National Institute of Health Research and the charity Versus Arthritis, this six year research project will include a number of different studies, and researchers are keen to be guided by the experiences of those who are living with these conditions day to day. There is the chance to get involved in shaping what the D-MAPP will look like, as well as testing the final website.
