Focus Group for People with a Learning Disability from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities
Race Equality Foundation
Following on from the 1st stage of our project to discuss race inequality for people with learning disabilities (LeDeR project), Race Equality Foundation will be hosting a focus group with people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME/BME) backgrounds to talk about their experiences of support and (self) advocacy.
We want to know who is helping you and how they help you.
We are interested in speaking with people of all ages. We would also like to speak to relatives and family carers of people who have a learning disability who are from a BAME group.
The focus groups will take place on Monday 4th October 10-11.15am and 1-2.15pm.
Each person who attends will receive a £10 voucher as a thank you for taking part.
We are also happy to conduct 1-1 interviews with people who do not want to join a group discussion.
