Are you involved in a grassroots heritage project in West Yorkshire? Or do you run a community or creative organisation from a historic site or space? Do you want to strengthen your organisation, develop your skills, and connect with others doing similar work? The Heritage Toolbox is here to help—and our series of online workshops and 1:1 fundraising support will run from June to September 2025.

Delivered by the Heritage Trust Network in partnership with Locality, the Heritage Toolbox is a free pilot programme designed to support voluntary and community organisations across West Yorkshire who are caring for historic buildings, sites, and landscapes. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow your impact, this is your chance to build the tools you need to succeed.

Why join?

• Expert-led workshops: Learn about fundraising, governance, community engagement, volunteer development, and inclusion.

• Flexible learning: A range of online sessions tailored to your needs.

• 1-to-1 support: Get personalised advice from experienced professionals. Attendees of our workshops can also make the most of 1:1 fundraising and bid-writing coaching.

• Grow your network: Connect with peers across the region who share your passion for heritage and community.

This is part of the You Can Make It Here programme, funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, which aims to build a stronger, more resilient creative and cultural sector.

Who’s it for?

Anyone working on or planning a heritage-led project in the West Yorkshire Combined Authority area, or existing groups and organisations who operate from a historic space. No matter your size, experience, or stage—this programme is designed to meet you where you are.
