Voluntary Action Leeds

Come and chat to the National Lottery Community Fund and a range of other funders for advice and support to your charity, community, voluntary or faith group about finding and accessing funding.

Voluntary Action Leeds in partnership with Leeds City Council Councillors: Cllr James Lewis, Cllr Mary Harland and Councillor Mirelle Midgley (Kippax and Methley ward) and LCC Community Committee invite local third sector organisations including charities, voluntary, community and faith groups to drop in and meet a range of funders to discuss the funding pots they give and get tips on how best to apply. 

Funders coming along include: National Lottery Community Fund (previously known as the Big Lottery Fund), National Lottery Heritage Fund, Leeds Community Foundation, Coalfields Regeneration Trust (which only funds in Kippax, Methley and Swillington areas), Tesco Bags of Help, Comic Relief Community Grants, ESF Community Grants, Leeds City Council Community Committee (Health and Wellbeing Grants and Youth Activity Grants etc), Housing Advisory Panels, Co-op’, Leeds City Council Language Hub Grants, Parish Council funding, MICE money, Leeds Inspired. 

Also talk to Leeds Volunteer Centre about how you can publicise your volunteering opportunities or find volunteers for your group, or be a volunteer and get support through Employer Supported Volunteering.  
Voluntary Action Leeds and West Yorkshire Community Accountancy Scheme will be there to give advice about how to find other funders and strengthen your bids, including budgets.

It’s all free, just drop in between 5pm and 7pm on Thursday 20th February at The Old School, Vicars Terrace, Allerton Bywater, WF10 2DJ
