Local councils, charities and community groups can apply for grants to create projects and host events that support the central aims of Windrush Day, that is, to tell the story of the Windrush Generation and celebrate and recognise how they have shaped Britain’s heritage.
Activities can be for projects and events to celebrate the British Caribbean community’s culture and heritage on 22 June 2021 and throughout the rest of the year, including during Black History Month, until 31st December 2021, by when all projects must have been completed.
Online bidder workshops will take place on 2 February and 11 February 2021. Further details can be obtained by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org (include: “Windrush day grants” in the subject line). The deadline for grant applications is 10 March 2021 (23:59).
