Health For All

Health For All’s Active Club Experience (ACE) has been getting a variety of people active for years and now we are set to launch a new opportunity.

ACE specialise in getting every one of every age and background active as it is important to everyone’s health and at times gets forgotten about with certain people.

Of course, children need to be active the most for their physical development and we work in hundreds of schools carrying out three or more sessions at these schools giving all of coaches massive amounts of experience alongside their qualifications such as level 2 coaching certificates in a wide range of sports as well as level 3 coaching certificates, first aid qualifications and safeguard training.

On top of this, they work with people with limited mobility such as the elderly or of course the disabled. Over the years we have worked with many disabled adult groups even organising a massive boccia tournament with disabled adult groups across Leeds but one group who don’t seem to have the same level of opportunities is disabled children.

It is expected that they will just participate alongside other children which is true but they all deserve their own exciting opportunities to participate in activities alongside other children like them and this project that we are set to start will address that with activities such as football, soft dodgeball, basketball, tigging games and active puzzle games. This will allow them to play games that they want to and where they can feel free to play these games and not overshadowed by others.

Our experience working with disabled people and with children and our qualifications make us best placed for this project and we have now secured funding for this project so this is a really exciting time for the organisation.
