Hey Neighbour – Autumn Round

Grant for individuals and small organisations.

The Hey Neighbour Fund has opened a new round of grants and you are invited to apply!

We are awarding around 20 grants.

  • 10 x Small Grants (Up to £500)
  • 10 x large Grants (Up to £1,500)

What is the Hey Neighbour Fund?

Hey Neighbour asks communities what they need and what ideas they have to improve lives in their local area. 

It supports both new and existing activity, bringing people together to share the good things that help a community to grow.

Got an idea? Need some funding? Not sure what to do next?

If:

  • You need help with filling in the form
  • You have any questions about what we can and cannot fund
  • You are not sure if you are eligible
  • You have got an idea and don’t know how to tell people

Background:

  • Individuals who are not part of a constituted group can apply for up to £500
  • Organisations with an annual income of less that £50,000 may apply for up to £1,500.
  • Organisations with an annual income of more than £50,000 are not eligible to apply.
  • All projects must have started by January 2025
  • We do not fund political or religious activities.

The Hey Neighbour project is being delivered by Leeds Older People’s Forum in partnership with Leeds City Council. It is part-funded by the UKShared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

In West Yorkshire, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority leads the implementation of the Fund as part of the Mayor’s ambition to make West Yorkshire the best place to work, learn and live.’

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting localbusiness, and people and skills.
