Leeds-based Roundhay Support Club is reaching out to those Stroke survivors, carers and family members who cannot make their regular meetings by offering a new FREE telephone based friendship line.

Staffed by volunteers from the Club, most of had a Stroke themselves or have experience of caring for someone who has, the ‘Friendship Line’ will extend our regular peer support to those who perhaps due to mobility or health issues or who have returned to work.

Jon Hart, Chair of the Club said ” We know that Stroke is hitting more and more younger people, many of which return to work so are unable to attend our meetings. Our new telephone based support line will help us provide a friendly chat and support to those Stroke survivors, their families and carers.”
