Gaining insight into the national strategy will be an important part of enabling us to work up a more detailed picture of what recovery in Leeds will look like. The phased national approach set out by Government can now be reflected in the approach we take to ensure a safe city and deliver a strong economic recovery in a manner that does not compromise the resilience and integrity of our health and social care system. This means: If we move too fast and create the circumstances that require a second period of lockdown this crucial trust and confidence could be irreparably damaged. To make sure this does not happen our communication with the public must be clear and easy to understand.
