Leeds Compassionate City Awards
Nominations are now open for the Leeds Compassionate City Awards, celebrating the positive and fundamental work of the exceptional individuals, groups and organisations who go above and beyond for the benefit of others in our great city. However big or small, if they go that extra mile for their local community, city and others, then recognise these contributions by nominating them for an award today by visiting www.leeds.gov.uk/about-leeds/compassionate-city-awards
Their important work helps to improve the lives of the people of Leeds and supports the vision for Leeds to be the best city in the UK: one that is compassionate with a strong economy, which tackles poverty and reduces inequalities. The Compassionate City Awards were developed to build on the work the council has undertaken over many years, on fairness, equality, social cohesion and resilient communities and since the event was launched in 2017, we have celebrated and recognised the work of over 100 individuals, community groups and organisations from across the city.
The highlights from the Leeds Compassionate City Awards 2021 award ceremony held at the Civic Hall can be viewed on our YouTube channel. Videos and interviews relating to previous events can viewed on the Leeds Compassionate City Awards YouTube playlist.
