Meet the Funder: Community Grants for Climate Projects (22/2/24, 1-2pm on zoom).

Meet Tom Cowen from Leeds City Council to find out about Community Grants for Climate Projects scheme which will fund community proposals for greener, cleaner and climate-ready neighbourhoods with grants of 5,000 and £50,000.  Will focus on:

• Local, clean and flexible energy solutions (e.g. solar panels on community buildings, replacing gas boilers with heat pumps)
• Healthy, affordable and efficient buildings (e.g. insulation, energy efficient doors and windows, treating community buildings or targeted domestic properties)
• Walking, cycling and public transport (community cycling infrastructure, E-bikes for community use, promotion of walking/cycling routes)
• Green and climate ready solutions (e.g. tree planting schemes, greenspace creation or improvement, biodiversity enhancement)

Projects should also benefit disadvantaged communities or reduce inequality.
