Meet the Funders: Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF)
The Crisis and Resilience Fund is jointly delivered by Leeds Older People’s Forum, Leeds Food Aid Network, Voluntary Action Leeds and Leeds Community Anchor Network (LCAN) and aims to support organisations across Leeds to build financial resilience, strengthen community connections, and reduce reliance on crisis support.
Join Claire Graham, Kate Garman and Lisa Fearn from the third sector partnership delivering the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) in Leeds. The session will provide an overview of the fund, eligibility criteria, application process, and practical tips on developing a strong application.
Unlike previous Household Support Fund programmes, CRF places a stronger emphasis on helping people move beyond immediate crisis by creating opportunities for:
- Building financial resilience and independence
- Accessing advice and support services
- Developing skills and confidence
- Strengthening local networks and partnerships
- Creating more joined-up, wrap-around support for communities
The session will introduce the CRF outcomes and demonstrate how a wide range of activities can contribute to resilience building, including food-based provision where it forms part of a wider support offer.
The event will also highlight the opportunities available for partnership and collaborative applications. We are keen to support organisations to work together, combining different strengths and expertise to deliver more joined-up support for residents across Leeds.
The session will help you:
- Understand what can and cannot be funded
- Learn about the CRF approach to resilience building
- Check whether your organisation and proposed activity are eligible
- Understand what makes a strong application
- Learn about partnership opportunities
- Ask questions about the application and assessment process
- Gives an overview of monitoring requirements
Suitable for: Voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, charities, community groups, faith organisations, community anchors, food aid providers, and potential partners delivering support in Leeds.
You can learn more about the Crisis Resilience fund before attending the event.
Date: 29 July 2026
Time: 1pm – 2pm
Location: Online (joining details will be provided following registration)
The session will be informal and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss ideas with the delivery partners.
We strongly encourage anyone considering an application to attend. Whether you are planning to apply independently or as part of a partnership, the session will provide valuable information to help you get the most from the opportunity.
