Voluntary Action Leeds
Since COVID 19 struck it highlighted major health inequalities in racialized minority communities, then the tragic murder of George Floyd and the uprising of the Black Lives Matter Movement it has never been more urgent to ensure the voices of racialized minority communities are being heard at the decision-making tables in our society.
Here at Voluntary Action Leeds, we have been able to provide strategic leadership training for over 30 new strategic leaders who are keen and passionate about representing. We recognise the need for additional support for these individuals in the form of a mentor from a racialised minority community with experience of strategic representation and or leadership skills, or you could be a professional in your field.
We will be providing a training session for individuals who feel they want to give back to the community and would like to mentor someone. The training will be face to face at Stringer House on the 16th November 1pm to 4pm and will offer a range of learning tools to enable you to be a good mentor.
If this sounds like something you would like to do then please sign up for the course and join us in supporting our new strategic leaders to be as effective as they can be and become change makers for the future.
