Near Neighbours Community Covid Relief Grants Scheme
Voluntary Action Leeds
Near Neighbours Community Covid Relief Grants Scheme: grants of up to £4,000 towards projects costing less than £20,000 in total for local grassroots organisations delivering projects that support communities in specified areas of England (including West Yorkshire) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Will fund emerging local groups as well as charities, religious organisations and other not-for-profit organisations whose focus is on local work.
Will look favourably on small BAME-led organisations with a low annual turnover.
Projects must: support communities, be locally embedded, support emerging needs, keep people save or connected and informed.
The funding is for new or developed work delivering specific activities and aim to finish by 31 March 2021 (unless in lockdown – this can be discussed).
Groups must speak with their local Near Neighbours Coordinator who will share the link to the application form and help plan the project and apply for the grant. But go to the website where you can access an application form and budget form to help plan your project and share with your co-ordinator. There are no deadlines. Applications are considered on a first come, first served basis. Details at https://www.near-neighbours.org.uk/covid-grants
