Church of Refuge Ministries
A Launch Event for a brand-new drop-in project to support low-income families and the ethnic minority families who may be facing isolation and deprivation in the East Leeds area.
A new initiative funded by the Big Lottery Community Fund, will be launched on Thursday 13 February 2020 from 4pm-6pm at the Chestnut Room, Stewart Building within the Bridge Community Church Complex in Leeds. The physical address is Rider Street, Burmantoft, Leeds LS9 7BQ.
This is a partnership between Fountain of Refuge Ministries and Myton Community College.
The aim is to bring together a broad range of practitioners and stakeholders from locally-based Third Sector charities as well as the Leeds City Council to share experiences and exchange ideas in order to deepen our understanding of the existing form and size of the support services currently being provided to deprived families and minority ethnic communities within Leeds in critical areas such as employment, housing, education, health and well being, and raising aspirations.
We are keen to mobilise expertise and experience from diverse stakeholders across the local Third Sector landscape in Leeds to help in shaping our own thinking, planning, and delivery of the proposed activities.
We eagerly look forward to welcoming you and sharing afternoon tea with local partner organisations and stakeholders while exchanging ideas about supporting disadvantaged communities around our city of Leeds.
