Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) invites nominations for individuals to stand for election as a trustee of VAL.

We are looking for new trustees, who feel as passionately about our work as we do. As a trustee, you will play a vital role in pushing our work forward.

Our Board is inclusive, welcoming and committed to continuous improvement. Becoming a trustee is both a serious commitment and a rewarding experience.

We would love to hear from you if you think you have what it takes!

We particularly encourage nominations from people who are representative of the diversity of the city and who are currently under-represented on the board. This includes people from culturally diverse communities, people who identify as LGBTQIA+ and young people.

We would also welcome nominations from people with experience and knowledge of business planning, charity/company law, investments and lobbying/campaigning.

Individuals are welcome to nominate themselves!

Timetable of nominations and candidates

• 15 August, 11am – 1pm – Meet VAL’s Trustees – this drop in session is for those who are interested in becoming a VAL Trustee and to find out more about the role of a VAL trustee (refreshments will be provided). 
• 22 August– Deadline for the receipt of nominations forms
• 27 August – 18 September– Trustee elections take place, with new trustees announced at the Annual General Meeting on 25 September 2024
