Examples of activity that can be funded
Whether through project delivery, organisational development, or a combination of both, this flexible funding is designed to seed new ideas, sustain impactful work, and support grassroots efforts rooted in Bradford’s diverse communities.
Successful organisations will support people experiencing poverty, disadvantage or discrimination, and create a life-changing sense of community solidarity and connection. People will be helped to shape the decisions that affect their lives, contributing to the overall success of Bradford.
Examples of activity that can be funded include:
A programme aimed at supporting 15–21-year-olds who are experiencing barriers to education, employment or community participation. The project blends goal-setting workshops, creative self-expression, and real-world opportunities to build confidence, resilience, and connection.
A community storytelling café brings neighbours of all ages together to share food, personal histories, and local traditions, building empathy, pride, and new friendships across cultures and generations through regular gatherings and creative activities.
Organisations strengthen inclusion by training staff, updating governance, and creating accessible services. They improve financial systems, invest in sustainable staffing, and introduce evaluation tools that amplify service user voice. Outreach partnerships and youth advisory groups boost relevance, while volunteer coordination and feedback loops reinforce trust.
