We are looking for interested young people to help us with an exciting new project – The Electoral Commission Young Champions!
Young Champions are aged 14-18 (up to 25 if they have a disability or are care experienced) and live or work or study in England/ Scotland.
Young Champions will help senior decision makers evaluate and improve The Electoral Commission programmes and activities; working together to solve BIG BUSINESS CHALLENGES.
Their role lasts for 6 months. They will have AQA accredited training and will be supported to work as part of a national team. ELEC COMM Young Champions ROLE DESCRIPTION 2022-3
The Young Champions will:
- Review and refine Electoral Commission’s activities and resources for young people.
- Co-produce and design new activities and resources for young people.
- Work with Electoral Commission to youth proof their programmes and projects on democracy.
As a team, they will work together to ask the tough questions, problem solve and build their leadership, communication and team work skills.
We would be really grateful if you could share this exciting opportunity with young people who would benefit from this incredible opportunity. We’re particularly interested in reaching young people from disadvantaged or underrepresented groups and who don’t have an interest in democracy!
