Wade’s Charity open 3 Month “£5,000 Physical Activity” Grant window for Leeds charities working with children and young people
With many charities and charitable organisations across Leeds being unable to operate at various points over the last two years due to the pandemic, many have suffered financially.
Now that many of these organisations are back open and up and running, Wade’s Charity is offering grants of up to £5,000 to help them provide children and young people with opportunities to enjoy physical activity.
Grants are available to any charitable organisation, including sports clubs that are providing opportunities for children and young people to re-engage with physical activity and all the benefits that this offers.
Wade’s Charity’s parks and open spaces had a huge impact on the people of Leeds in terms of health and well-being during lockdown, as places to relax, exercise and socialise. But now as life has opened up, Wade’s Charity believes helping those organisations who facilitate physical activity in some form will also make a difference to the mental and physical well-being of the people of Leeds.
Final date for applications is 30th June 2022 and grants are only available to charities working within the pre-1974 boundary of Leeds, roughly LS1-LS17 For full details of the grant criteria and to apply for a grant – charities should visit www.wadescharity.org and click on the Covid Recovery Grants link.
