Public workshop – Experiences of cancer screening (breast, cervical, bowel)
Added: 09/04/2021
University of Sheffield
We are a team of researchers at the University of Sheffield who are evaluating the Cancer Wise Leeds Screening and Awareness Programme. We are running an online public workshop on Tuesday 18th May (11.30 to 1pm).
We are looking for people who have experience of breast, cervical or bowel cancer screening services, and also people who prefer not to go for screening.
Leeds has low numbers of people who go for cancer screening compared to the country as a whole, so this is a worry. New members of staff called Screening and Awareness Coordinators are working with local GP practices to try to get more people to go for screening.
We want to ask members of the public about this new approach and what might help get more people in Leeds screened for cancer.
You will receive a £10 shopping voucher for taking part.
