We’re relying on technology more than ever as we stay socially distant and at home. These rapid changes mean those without devices and internet connectivity are left out, lonely and for students, getting left behind. We’ve been able to roll out #CommunityCalling in Leeds, and start distributing donated smartphones in the West Yorkshire area alongside Damasq, Leeds Poverty Truth, Richmond Hill Elderly Action and the Leeds Gypsy and Traveller Exchange.
Did you know there are over 1 million children and young people in the UK without access to devices and internet connectivity for learning? Without internet access and skills, it’s a struggle to get news, health services, learning materials and connect with friends and family.
If you have a spare smartphone at home, you can rehome it with people in need, and @O2 will supply 1 years’ worth of data, calls and texts. Help people get connected and stay connected with #CommunityCalling️.
