The Neighbourhood Pipeline is Northern Gas Networks’ new community initiative to encourage people to pass on information about staying safe and warm at home to hard-to-reach, priority customers.

Northern Gas Networks wants community groups and organisations that work with people over 65, families with children under five, those with disabilities or a long-term health condition and those who don’t speak English as a first language to sign up and help us pass on this information to them, which is all available in a handy toolkit that can be downloaded or ordered from us.

As a thank you for signing up, organisations and groups will be entered into a prize draw to win one of five warm lunch events for up to 50 of their service users.

Eileen Brown, Director of Customer Experience at Northern Gas Networks, said:

“Some of our priority customers may not have access to a computer or online information. They might not be able to read the leaflets we post through their door or understand the language we write in. But they might trust someone who runs a community group or place of worship they attend, and be grateful for the potentially life-changing information you have access to. Together we are stronger, so please pledge your support and help us to reach as many of our priority customers as possible with information that will help them to stay safe and warm.”
