Standing Tall

Ending Homelessness One Person at a Time

Our Mission

Standing Tall started in 2020 in Birmingham and we are now in Leeds. We exist to champion the hidden talent on our streets and to change public perceptions of people experiencing homelessness. We believe in the power of opportunity and its ability to transform lives.

Our Approach

We work with our employer partners to find secure jobs. We have a local referral network who link us in with people who are ready to work again and want their own secure accommodation. We walk alongside people and help empower them to achieve their goals.

Where do you come in?

To make all this possible, we need Amici Hosts.

  • We are looking for community spirited people who have room in their homes to be part of the person’s journey.
  • You will receive £500 per month rent for six months for renting out your spare room.
  • We use a thorough vetting process.
  • We use an extensive matching process to give everyone the best experience possible.
  • We offer an induction and ongoing support.
  • Your support will be the stepping stone for someone experiencing homelessness to securing their own tenancy and restore their independence.

Hear what our currents hosts have to say about their experience:
