Voluntary Action Leeds
Street Doctors is a national youth charity. They empower young people (ages 11-25) by teaching them vital first aid skills, so they can become lifesavers in their communities. We are a national charity and are looking to develop partnerships in Leeds.
Locally, they have previously partnered with LS-10, Leeds Youth Justice Service and Roundhay Sixth Form.
However their sessions are very adaptable and we’ve delivered in a range of settings such as sports clubs, youth clubs, cadets groups –
Their trauma-informed sessions teach key skills like how to help someone with heavy bleeding or if they’re unconscious. Each session lasts one hour and can accommodate up to 30 young people. Their healthcare volunteers can customize sessions to meet your needs, building both skills and confidence in a crisis. Many of the young people we’ve worked with have gone on to save lives in their communities.
