Sue’s 2.6 Challenge for MHA Live at Home

Added: 02/06/2020

MHA Live at Home Community Support Project

Through our 62 Live at Home schemes nationally, we support older people to continue living a healthy, active and socially connected life in their own homes for as long as possible and we work hard to prevent social isolation and loneliness. We are fortunate in West Yorkshire to have a significant number of really dynamic schemes in Leeds, Bradford, Pontefract and Huddersfield with dedicated staff and an amazing community of volunteers.   Unfortunately since the lockdown restrictions began, local scheme income has declined dramatically while demand for our services continues to rise. So that we can continue to look after the wellbeing of our members and other vulnerable older people in our local communities, please help me to support our Live at Home schemes in Leeds and West Yorkshire through this fundraising challenge.           I hope you will get in touch and let me know how you get on!   Thank you for your support!  It is very much appreciated!

Volunteer Coordinator for MHA Live at Home in Leeds, Sue Oliver, is walking at least 2.6 miles for 26 consecutive days to raise funds for Live at Home schemes across Leeds & West Yorkshire.
