Steve Skinner, a highly experienced community consultant, has just launched a new range of support for VCSE organisations including fundraising, evaluations, business plans, leadership coaching and project management.

Steve’s just marking twenty years of working as a freelancer for VCSE organisations across Leeds and West Yorkshire. Over the years he has built up a menu of support, including helping organisations design new projects, develop longer term strategies and produce tailor-made business plans, such as for the Leeds Asian Blind Association: ‘Your help has been invaluable.’   He’s specialised recently in fundraising, evaluations and reviews, including, for example, an evaluation for Woodhouse Community Centre in north Leeds and a refugee project in Wakefield.

‘I think it’s about really listening to what people need and designing the right mix of support, sharing skills and hopefully building the strengths of organisations for the future.’

He’s also been helping to build local partnerships with lottery funded resident’s groups in Leeds and Bradford. Currently he’s supporting a community theatre to build its volunteer base and acting as a leadership coach.
