Lighthouse Futures Trust
Lighthouse Futures Trust is an innovative charity that works with young adults, aged 18-25, to help develop the social and employability skills they need to find and sustain paid work.
One of our programmes is a 11-month Supported Internship which starts in September 2021 and is open to anyone aged 18-25, with an EHCP which states that employment is your next step.
Our interns have a variety of support needs including autism, learning difficulties or disabilities or SEMH (social, emotional and mental health). Interns spend some time at our base in Headingley but are mainly based with local employers for c. 3 days a week, with an on-site Job Coach providing targeted support. Other programmes include: a Foundation internship for those aged 17-20 who are not quite ready for a full internship; a self-employment course for those considering this as an option; and Talent Recruitment which runs programmes for anyone between the ages of 18-30 with Autism or Learning Difficulties.
Please email info@lighthousefuturestrust.org.uk and we can send you further details and dates of forthcoming Open Days.
