The Hunslet Club
The long-established, not-for-profit youth organisation and registered charity, The Hunslet Club, is determined to encourage more girls in Leeds to participate in football.
From Tuesday, 18th April 2023, we are running free girls’ football sessions on Tuesdays until September 2o23.
- 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm – years 2 – 4
- 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm – years 5 – 7
The first sessions on Tuesday, 18th April 2023, had an incredible turnout – showcasing that girls in Leeds just needed the right opportunity to try football.
The skill. The camaraderie. The communication. The strength. We saw it all during our new girls-only football sessions, and we want to inspire more young people in Leeds to get involved.
Moving forward, these sessions will allow girls in South Leeds and surrounding areas to try something new and participate in a sport that could become a lifelong passion.
It is more than just a sport – it is a chance for these young people to have the same opportunities as others. Even if they decide not to pursue football after these free sessions end, we hope we can help improve their confidence and show them that they can do what they set their minds to – regardless of gender.
There is a space for everyone at The Hunslet Club.
No booking is required to join these football sessions, simply sign in at the reception at The Hunslet Club and start playing.
