The New Library of Things is open! It’s like a normal Library but instead of Lending books it lends the kind of things you use infrequently but would otherwise have to buy e.g. DIY, Camping, Gardening, cooking equipment. We’ve got over 600 items to borrow for people to do up the house with, maintain the garden, have a party with, fix or make some clothes or costumes, put on a show or community event or project, the possibilities are endless!

The Library is great for:

• Young families – Board games, costumes, camping stuff
• new homeowners – hand tools, powertools, gardening equipment, DIY consumables
• newlyweds – unusual cooking equipment
• new people to Leeds
• or just people trying to live within their means but still want to do live a full of opportunities and fun
• We’re also very useful for community groups or social enterprises by offering gazebos, sound systems, badge makers, folding tables, projectors and other items needed to run events

 

We’re always looking for more volunteers and members so please down and make a membership and tell as many other people about the Library as you can!

We’re at the Headingley Methodist Church in central Headingley. We’re open Fridays 4-6pm and Saturdays 1-4pm.
