Third Sector Leeds (TSL) is seeking to appoint a New independent Chair for 2022.

If you feel you are ready to take on the challenge of helping shape the future of the Third Sector in Leeds, being the Chair of Third Sector Leeds could be for you!

An independent collective of third sector voices, Third Sector Leeds is the leading policy body that advocates for the third sector’s interests in Leeds. We are seeking a new Independent Chair to enable us to continue to influence key decisions for our city and for the sustainability of the third sector.

Being Chair of TSL is a unique position, which offers a fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in bringing together partners from the third and public sectors and to shape decisions that make a real difference for communities.

To ensure independence of view, the Chair is a voluntary position, and the holder must not be employed by a third sector organisation working in Leeds.

We would like you to take on the challenge of collaboration and change by:

• Being a vocal public advocate for the third sector and for the difference it makes in communities
• Understanding the values and strengths of the third sector and the ways that it makes its voice heard
• Displaying the behaviours that enable shared agendas to emerge and organisations to collaborate better
• Driving our work to be a more diverse and inclusive body
• Being able to build and maintain great relationships with leaders and decisions makers from all parts of the city
• Being innovative and persuasive in shaping the Third Sector Leeds work programme, working with its wider Leadership Group and support team.
