Help a Pony to Live a Happy and Healthy Life- Ponies With No Future Transformed to Perfect Partners
Most of our ponies were donated to us because they had been written off as dangerous, difficult and disobedient. Scared, often in pain and unsure of their place in the world, they simply had lost trust in people. We take our time – sometimes years, to help our ponies to rebuild their respect and trust in people so that we can help them to overcome their fears.
Transforming Lives
All the ponies are highly trained so that they are calm and confident enough to work with even the most vulnerable children. Through our Youth Development Programme, they help young people with mental health problems, special educational needs and other complex needs.
Conker’s Story
Conker was the first member of the Think Like a Pony herd. We have now given 14 ponies a future.
I am very sensitive and the scar from my hot brand means that sometimes my back legs can feel sore. I am so lucky to be here at Think Like a Pony because my riders and the staff understand me. They give me special plant medicines and therapies which help me to feel better. Lynn says that I am the most expensive pony to look after but that I am worth it!
