TSL was recently approached by Leeds Migration Partnership with a request to support a joint statement on Refugees. As well as highlighting Yorkshire and Humbers’ pride in being a place of welcome for refugees, the statement shines a light on concerns about the impact on refugees of the current Nationality and Borders Bill.

After much discussion, our Leadership Group have reached the decision that Third Sector Leeds should act, and today our Chair has endorsed the statements.

We would encourage our members to review the Nationality and Borders Bill and to join with Leeds Migration Partnership in working to sustain Leeds as a place of sanctuary.
