An update from the VAL YOU Payroll team
We are aware that several organisations have received letters purporting to be from HMRC.
These letters say there is an amount overdue and ask you to phone 0300 299 3819 to discuss.
Although on an initial inspection the letters appear to be genuine, we believe they are fraudulent, so please do not phone the number.
If you receive a letter from HMRC about overdue amounts, we recommend you speak to your payroll provider, or call HMRC by using a trusted number from the HMRC website
