Warm and Cosy – cost of living grants to Leeds groups supporting older people

Cost of living grants, for your organisation to give additional support to older people in Leeds.
Leeds Older People’s Forum has been awarded funding from Independent Age Cost of Living fund to support older people (aged 65+) through the cost of living crisis and reduce the impact of poverty in a new programme, Warm & cosy.
LOPF will redistribute funds to organisations, through providing grants of up to £1,000 for a range of activities in two grant rounds, in December 2022 and June 2023. The first round Warm & cosy is open now until the deadline: 12.00 noon, Wednesday 21 December 2022.
Who can apply?
Any third sector organisation, small community group or larger registered charity. Organisations must be able to demonstrate their ability to meet the needs identified, engage with and work to support older people 65+ living in Leeds.

Grants are available for activities to:
● meet immediate pressures and problems due to the cost of living crisis including cash payments for energy costs, household items, necessary personal items, items to help keep people warm, provision of hot meals including home delivery and community centre based meals.
● alleviate the impact of the cost of living crisis through 1:1 support and group activities to reduce isolation and loneliness. For example: warm space activities, opportunities to socialise, activities to support physical and mental wellbeing, opportunities for social engagement including travel costs and organised trips.
Grants are for immediate spend and can complement and/or enhance existing activities.
