Connecting Volunteer Managers and sharing good practice

The Leeds Volunteer Managers Network meets monthly to share ideas, strengthen good practice and create new networks. It’s a great opportunity for volunteer managers to connect and share peer support. The group is passionate about volunteering in Leeds and strives to find ways to make volunteering better for everyone. Sign up to the mailing list for opportunities to get involved.

The network are particularly interested to hear from professionals who can represent the diversity of our communities. Network members with support from the Volunteer Centre Leeds team create and share a range of useful guides and resources to shape best practice in the city.

One of the key resources we have is the Volunteer Handbook which many organisations have adopted for use in their volunteer induction. It’s freely available to download along with many more toolkits and resources you can use.

The Leeds Volunteering Quality Mark

Members also collaborated with Volunteer Centre Leeds team on the Leeds Volunteering Quality Mark – an accreditation for organisations who manage volunteers to show that they are outstanding in their field. It gives credit to organisations that run high quality volunteer programmes and give their volunteers a great experience.
